I thought I would throw this out there, who knows, maybe I can get some other
programmers as excited about this as I am....

I have a basis for a fantastic software product would serves a currently small niche business area that is growing at a rapid pace. The market is proven, that is, has been around for somewhere near 20 years now. While the market may be small, it could be very profitable. Yet no software is commercially available for this particular area. Not a single piece that I’ve been able to find.

The closest thing I can think of what this software is going to be like, is like ERP software or maybe even CRM. I guess it’s really a meld of both for a specific market. Anyone interested will be taught the business from the customer’s point of view.

I have my vision of my software product completely mapped out. I've already begun
the coding process, I am about 6 weeks into it. I am a very seasoned, accurate, and fast developer but I know I'm not going to be able to get this done, in the time I need, or would like to

Ok, so what am I looking for? Well, programmers/developers that are willing to work for free (you’ll get a cut of future sales or equity stake in the product) or developers willing to work at low rates ( I can’t afford $35 hour rates trying to get this thing off the ground). Enthusiastic folks like me that actually enjoy programming. I know that’s asking a lot, but I thought I’d try. This project would not require work during business hours, that is, the work can be performed at your own pace.

I’m looking for 4-5 developers who are/have:

- Senior level Visual Basic and Ms SQL experience.
- ASP experience would be helpful.
- Experience on large, multi-form, complicated, and visually appealing software projects.
- Experience on software like SAP/CRM/Peoplesoft etc would be helpful since that is the size of product and quality I want to shoot for.
- Can produce consistently readable code suitable for a group endeavor.
- In the chicagoland area.
- Can meet regularly during evenings or weekends.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit, and really mean it.
- Is business savvy and can conceptualize a product and its usefulness from the customer’s perspective.
- Can collaborate well with others on software projects.
- Can perform software design in a group setting.
- Can produce quality code on a deadline.
- Is willing to commit a serious effort to such a project that will probably go as long as a year.

So if your interested, please let me know. Send me a resume, an example of your work, your contact info, whatever and I’d be happy to share the details with you either in person or on the phone….

Or if you have suggestions (like other forums or something) on how I can reach other developers that might be interested please advise…
