That's right, i would like to see a Bat icon as well. I have a suitable one if anyone wants it.
But what i really want to see, and this has been proposed before, is a DOH! icon. An icon of Homer hitting his head with his hand should do it, with, as the tag.
I'm sure a lot of others would like to see the Doh! icon, it has a million uses. Unfortunatley i do not have a icon for it, but i am sure someone out there does.
Iain, thats with an i by the way!

Yes, it was I who suggested we have a "doh" icon awhile back and da_silvy had created one. You should ask him for the icon.

That'd be cool, having a Bat icon. So we'd know who would stop crime here on the forums of the vb world ;]. Here's a Bat.

Wow! Batman, you're Using a Time machine or something? Posted that before me! Or you went into the fifth dimension and saw what I was going to post?
Anyway, i'm going to back you up for the Bat Icon, and of course the Doh! icon.

John give batman his icon/smilie
Ok so personalised Status is out, can concur on that one, if one person gets it everyone will want it...damn, still was fun for a while.
But a Bat smilie would be available for who ever wanted to use it, therefore would not cause a ruckus....except there would be requests for other smilies l guess.
A bat icon would add to the general fun nature of the site, and would give a break from the coding stuff. I mean great that you can get answers to perplexing vb problems, but you also need a few laughs.......

Even though it might bring laughs to this site, Jethro is right, everyone will start wanting an Icon of their own. How about if we enable the [IMG] tags in the Chit Chat fourm; then people can use their own Symbols and Icon's there and then we can leave the other fourms for programming.
This way, everyone will be happy.

I think that everyone fails to realize that this may very well be on the bottom of his list of priorities at the moment...
I sympathize with you Batman, I think you deserve a bat icon too. But John may simply have other obligations before he can deal with adding a new icon.
Or he may be on vacation and hasn't had a chance to see your posts yet.
Well, someone had to be the rational thinker of the group, I'm just sorry it had to be me.

I don't really know, but putting in new icons should be done in 2-3 minutes... (but I'm not sure if it's that updateable) Just an idea...

dah, batman don't leave us again!
John! YOu see what happens when Batman get's angry? You get in trouble because many people will leave, especially batman, and that's enough for this site to not be functional anymore!
And it's not only batman that want's the icon, every bat member would have to use them for their bat words!

I totally agree with you Zej. No one is special on this site. I don't think that Batman or anyone else is such an important member (no offense) that he/she deserves some kind of special rights.
I vote NO for Bat-icon.
Sorry Batman
No offense Batman, but you behave like a child on this forum. If you really want to do it - go to Chit Chat Forum. I don't read it, so you can write whatever you want. I don't care. But why do you post such nonsense in the Forum Feedback? It's not what it was created for.
Second thing. What makes you think you are special??? For me you are just ... well I won't finish because I don't want to start some kind of war. You are the same as almost 10000 other people. Let's face the facts: you are nothing special Batman
Sorry again.

To be honest, I don't really care. I do not have the desire to use the current icons in my messages either. Batman, although you might want a symbol for yourself, think about the other 10000 memebers that might want a personal representation of themselves too. It will be time consuming for John to let everyone submit their own symbols and create tags for them.
As I stated earlier in the thread, I think it's best to enable the [IMG] tag in the Chat fourm, that way, everyone can have thier own symbols and we can keep the actual programming sections free from any misuse of this.
Zej, you wanted my opinion, there you go.
Regards.

I think Batman is the only person on the forum who deserves an icon of his
own and who has an icon which everybody can use. You can't say that for the other 9000 members.
The very name batman is different it has its own bat prefix and its
own bat sound. I, for one, don't want or need my own icon, and I think
lots of people on this site feel the same way. Batman is bat special.
I would give him his bat icon

Looks like you Zej is taking this too serious, you take everyting too serious!
But seriously, there's noone like batman, and if batman will get his icon, i swear nobody else will get their icons; you know mossuperman, anyone else will will end up like him if they try to get a fake identitiy and try to make themselves like batman.
Batman is the King, and that's because he is original!

Hey! I've already got my own icon. Since I'm no one the "No icon" choice is for me right? That makes sense...

Whether or not I'm a Guru is irrelevant, Batman. I suggested that we could enable the <IMG> tag's in the Chit Chat forum so nobody would complain. I don't see what's wrong with that.
In spite of everything, however, you told me to sit back and join the fun and I will take your word for that. I had my say and now I'll call it quits.

Ok, it's hard to decide who deserves what now...
Bman does deserve an icon, but John doesn't deserve to be thrashed for not putting an icon on here...
I say just give it up, if he wants to put it on here he'll do it, if not than there's nothing we can do about it.

John please move this to chit chat
No offense to anyone but this thread belongs on chit chat, not on site feedback. This forum should be for reporting problems, or good suggestions. The thread is fun, the thread is good, the thread should be in chit chat.
Zej
I am not, or never have been, in Batman's crew. Have got a smile and laugh occasionally from his posts.
Zap
Totally agree man, but l don't think anyone is thrashing John. If they are, they should sit back, take a deep breath, and apologise to him. He runs a great site here, and besides a few nudges from time to time, (which should be in jest with a little humour), should be left to do what he does.
Just had a great idea
A special icon for John & James personel use. Actually thats a pretty lame idea, if they wanted one they could just create it.
