The impossible question: are animated GIFs on?

Is there a way using my guess would be Javascript to find out if the user has animated GIFs enabled in their browser? It's this in IE, BTW:

I'm guessing not. I don't think javascript can go that deep into the internet tools. but why worry about it. most users don't even realize that is there and by default it is always on.

I didn't think there'd be a Javascript solution. Oh well, looks like Flash playtime.
