Thread: Somebody might be knowing this....(required : activex for folder browsing..)

    Hi Friends ...


    Can any one of you help me...I am looking for ActiveX control for Browsing Folder and selecting folder... We can do it through forms...and some other way....But I want Activex control for it..so i can select folder / multiple folders at a time....

    You have a couple of choices that come with VB.

    1) CommonDialog Control
    2) Directory List Box

    Thank you for reply,..but I can not use commondialog box fro selecting folder, I can use it for selecting files only...and about directory list box... it doesnt provide the look and feel of CommonDialog Box... So I want look and feel of Common Dialog box and functionality for selecting Folder...I fany one has Idea please reply....

    I've written a custom file/folder selector (for VB6EE+SP3).

    It doesn't allow you to select multiple folders, but I'll give you the code so you can easily modify it to do this. It looks identical to the Common Dialog requester, but with a few other functions I specifically needed it to do (although I doubt they'll be any use to you, so you could just remove them).

    By the way - it's not an ActiveX control. It's just a form and a BAS file.
