Can MAPI change the From Address??
I have a help desk application and have been able to use MAPI controls to send emails. However, I'd like the user of the program to be able to specify the FROM email address. Is it possible to change this? It seems to use the default address of whatever mail app is running.
It would be nice if the FROM address and the REPLY address could be changed to something like [email protected] or something.
Does anyone have any ideas.
Much Thanks in advance.

In a word, No. I actually had much the same though a few years ago and for the same reasons - a help desk thing. I started investigating, and came up blank. But, then when I stopped to think about it, I came to the conclusion that not being able to change the From line is a GOOD!
Just imagine if it was easy. ANYBODY could send a message to anybody FROM anybody. Suppose there is this person in my department that is giving me a hard time. No problem. I could just send a message to his boss, saying all kinds of nasty, nasty things about his mother, wife and the martial status of his parents at the time of his birth, and have the FROM line changed to the person that was giving me a hard time. I'm home free, and out of the blue, the person giving me a hard time is getting a new one chewed by his boss (or, if I got really nasty, perhaps being canned), and he has no idea why.
I solved my problem by having a HelpId account created, and having the HelpDesk people log in using it.
