    Question

One of my guys is trying to install VB5.0 on their machine. After the VB install and service pack install, the only control he can't add to a form is the Masked Edit Text Box.
    (MSMASK32.OCX)

I've tried unregistering the ocx, registering the ocx, using regclean, and finally uninstalling and reinstalling VB5.0 and the service pack.

Does anyone know how I can get the license to work for this control? My machine works fine. Is there a registry setting I can export from my machine and put on his?

    Any help would be appreciated.

You need to go to microsoft's support page:

    VB6:
    http://support.microsoft.com/support.../q194/7/51.asp

    VB5:
    http://support.microsoft.com/support.../Q181/8/54.ASP

and download their utility to fix the problem.

You're the man...the vbc.exe file fixed it right up. That file should be made available for download from here...i don't really like going to Microsoft's web site. I always feel naked when I leave....
