Angry Have I got a mystery for you!

See this picture? Well if I blt these 3 different tiles on top of each other using transparency as shown below what do you think it would be? A , B, or C?

Please tell me what you think in the poll.

    VB Code:
    1. ' blt the background to the buffer
    2.             rScrlSrc.Left = Level.Bground(XCounter, YCounter).SrcX
    3.             rScrlSrc.Top = Level.Bground(XCounter, YCounter).SrcY
    4.             Call DoScrlRects
    5.             srfBBuffer.BltFast (XCounter - ViewX) * TILEWIDTH, (YCounter - ViewY) * TILEHEIGHT, srfTileSets(Level.Bground(XCounter, YCounter).TileSet), rScrlSrc, DDBLTFAST_WAIT
    6.
    7.             ' blt the char to the bbuffer
    8.             srfBBuffer.BltFast ScrlCharX, ScrlCharY, srfCharacter, rSrc, DDBLTFAST_WAIT Or DDBLTFAST_SRCCOLORKEY
    9.
    10.             ' blt the foreground to the bbuffer
    11.             rScrlSrc.Left = Level.Fground(XCounter, YCounter).SrcX
    12.             rScrlSrc.Top = Level.Fground(XCounter, YCounter).SrcY
    13.             Call DoScrlRects
    14.             srfBBuffer.BltFast (XCounter - ViewX) * TILEWIDTH, (YCounter - ViewY) * TILEHEIGHT, srfTileSets(Level.Fground(XCounter, YCounter).TileSet), rScrlSrc, DDBLTFAST_WAIT Or DDBLTFAST_SRCCOLORKEY

    I'm very agrivated with this.

If you can't see the picture open the address www.geocities.com/adt_vb/gfx/trans.gif to see the picture. You might want to try pasting the url in a new window. It doesn't want to work for me otherwise.

Does anyone know what might be wrong? I think it might have something to do with the back ground and foreground being from the same surface . Anyways I did a little more testing and I did get the foreground on top of the character. But only with one tile! That was the one I showed you in the example. !@#& I'll put game up on the internet to download if any of you guys want to take a crack at it. Just give me a little while. I'll repost when it's up.

Did you try pasting the address www.geocities.com/adt_vb/gfx/trans.gif into a "new" window. i think that might work. sorry for the problem with that people. My site server is kinda stupid this way. I'd post the pic as an attachment in the forum but right now I'm at school right now.

Anyways I fixed the problem. Actually I didn't fix it. I sorta bypassed it. The code I gave came from a loop to paint the level on the screen. I took out the character blt and I blted the character after the loop was finished and then I blted the 4 foreground tiles that the character could have been intersecting. It works great and improve the game speed but I still don't know why it didn't work before. I would still like to know why it didn't work incase I come up against the problem again in the future.

Sorry, I haven't gotten the code up yet. Hopefully I'll be able to update my website today after school. I'll let you guys know when I'm done.

I just had a really good idea and I can't stop until I've coded it. That's why its taking me a while.
