    Question

    Okay im just woundering how much the latest vb pro edition is costing these days, cuase im still stuck with using VB5 Learning edition which i have had for over 3 years, i think. So i wanna know how much i will have to invest for the latest and greatest????

    vb pro is $500 and Enterprise is $1200-1600

    Check around, though; look at ads in PC Magazine, etc. for companies that sell MS products. You may be able to pick up VB Pro for substantially less than list price. I believe I got VB6 Pro for about $100. Also, if you are a student or teacher and can prove affiliation with a school, you can get an academic discount. Shop around! Good luck.

    Yes, acedemic pricing is the thing to look for (if you are eligible). I got Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition for just over $300.

    How come the EE is $1600 when you can just buy the whole Visual Studio for $2000? That doesn't make sense.
