Anyone have Windows XP Professional?
I am needing some help regarding Windows XP. I am thinking about upgrading, but I want to be sure that VS is working with no problems. Has anyone noticed any problems (such as needing patches, etc).
Also, do our apps automatically get the graphics enhancements, or are we still producing plain looking forms?
I also was wondering if anyone can email me the EULA.txt file so I can review it before I plunk down a huge chunck of change. The eula.txt file is in the Windows/System32 folder.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, they automatically get "skinned"(unless you tell XP not to do so), including the standard controls, like the scroll bars, and menus.
Oh, sure, and I LOVE XP
I didn't need any additional drivers, although I did install the DetonatorXP driver from nVidia...
The only hardware that didn't work with it is the Microsoft Cordless Phone... how come

Well, those and the buttons and such, or is this going to have to be a SP release with updated controls?
Could you also send me the eula?

Only the titlebar and outside is skinned (as somebody else said). I have tried my program on windows xp, and all the controls have that old appearence.

Ya, I went to a Windows XP launch yesterday. I like everything I saw. The only thing I dislike about it, is the fact that I have to spend 199 for the XP Pro Upgrade edition and I can't install it on my Laptop AND my Main computer. That is the only down side to it that I see. Hell, Microsoft lets me install Office on my laptop as part of the EULA.

i really like XP.... i have XP Pro Corporate edition.... therefore, no annoying product activation.... and that means i can install it on both my pc's..
must admit though, m$ has done a really good job on the whole thing.... i think i've only bsod'ed it once so far.. and that i think was do to my programming skills (or unprogramming skills )
