I'm interested to see how VBWorld-land would vote in a referendum...

in one way, yes Canabis should be legalised, but on the other hand, if and when it does, it will be taxed liked a bastard . And I don't think It will seem right walking up to your local newsagent and asking for a nine bar

Yes I think it should be legalised. It helps to ease the symptoms of MS, it would allow the police to concentrate on catching people who deal with hard drugs (crack cocaine etc), and it is less harmful than cigarettes (no one has ever been killed by cannabis)

    Yes and ..

I beleive it should be, but not to be smoked/used in the streets, like alcohol, kept to either the users home or cafe's. I'm no prude with things like this but living in Amsterdam, every effingwhere you go you smell the rank stink... seven AM in the morning on the Metro platform....there-ya go again... That, as a non user I could do without...

heh, I personally love the smell, but I know what you (Pix and Pee) mean. I would be happy with a compromise of Buying it legally and smoking at home.

As for the tax issue - well we can't have it all our own way...

Im know what you mean being a non-smoker I can't stand people smoking near me or in my own home.

If I'm in the pub then you have to put up with.

As Gaffer said in your own home will do.

    Heck !! Don't start !!!

This place (Amsterdam) is Smokers-heaven, be it weed or toboacco (or both!)..even in this office now, if there were more smokers than non-smokers (I share a room with 5 others), they'd be smoking away (there are offices that are like that!!!!) I go to get a coffee from the machine, I have to walk past the smoking tables... Pubs, restaurants, loos, trains, trams, metros...shops.... everywhere people are smoking, admittedly it's banned on public transport but nobody says anything !! Dogs too (no they don't smoke) they're allowed in everywhere !!!!

Mad society.... serious 70's permissiveness... like the PC kinda public health kick missed this place entirely!!!

I don't begrudge it, in alot of ways, this place is so laid back & liberal it's positively horizontal !! that's a big plus ! it just amazes me thassall ! That & their diet is bread, bread & fried ****e & yet theyre all thin & fit ..... all the cycling & the red-underwear activities I expect....

Gaffer, next time you're in this vicinity, look me up ! You can show me around !

Fred Can't even show his face at the Water Buffalo
Meetings. I guess we're stuck hanging out with Captin
    Crunch.

    BTW

Cheerio to that BG. Although GR is entitled to prefer Betty if he wants. It's all part of the game of Life. If we didn't all like different things we'd probably go Fruit Loops and our brains would go Crunch (Cinnamon Crunch even )
