    Hi

    I would like to make a chat and/or ftp program.

    But you always need the IP of the remote PC and my
    own PC.
    I am connected to a dynamic IP provider and I can find
    my own or the remote IP adres.
    I always get the IP of my LAN .

    What can I do????????

    Wouldn't that be more of a client server application, I meen why couldn't you use some sort of scripting on a server to manage all that ip stuff, i.e. when ever you sign on have your app send your ip to a server, when anoter signs on have the server send a notice to you... Not sure if that helps but just one last thing... aren't there enough im/chat programs out there already?

    Go to http://www.grc.com and use the IP Agent utility to assess YOUR ip number
