Error 3447

I have a Win95 VB5 SP3 program running smoothly in my machine, accessing a MDB.

When I move the program to another machine, Win98 VB5 SP3 and run, it come out the message 3447, saying that VBAJet Engine cannot be initialise (VBA.DLL for 16 bits, VBAJet32.DLL for 32 bits), By the way the original message is in Chinese, so I roughly translate it.

Do anybody have any hint, I hit this message occassionaly before, and usually when I reinstall the whole machine, and it solved. But this time, it seems it is not working.

The great Micro$oft F*** UP!

I've been pulling my hair out over these errors.

The problem is due to newer versions of the DLLs not being backwards compatable.

check the version of DAO350.dll as this is the dll which actually causes the problem.


also look at:

and search for 3447 on this forum.
