Motherboard Question
I have this PC I got from my girlfriend, but I can't figure out what Motherboard it has in it! I don't have the manual, or anything for the computer. I know that it's a Socket7 mobo. It has the ALi chipset on it, but I can't figure out what motherboard it is. There is no manufacturer on it, at least that I can see. This is what I see at the main BIOS post screen:
Code:
Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG, An Energy Star Ally
Copyright (C) 1984-1997, Award Software, Inc.
ATA0820P
Award Plug and Play BIOS Extension v1.0A

Press DEL to enter SETUP
08/19/97-ALi-154x-2A5KIB09C-00
That last line is the chipset, I think, and I searched for it on Motherboards.org and nothing about this motherboard came up. Can anyone help????
Thanks

It's pretty old. Probably 5 or 6 years old. It's gotta be pretty old since it doesn't have USB ports yet, and it is only Socket7 with an AMD K6-2 200mhz proc. And I should mention that it has no connection to the internet, so I can't use somthing like Belarc Advisor... I thought of that already.

Break open the case and look for a logo and a model number in the corner or something. The last line you indicated is the BIOS number, which will tell you very little.

Nope. Nothing on the motherboard. The only thing that I can see on it is near the processor and it says :
M5ATA REV
I did a search on that and found nothing.
