How to detect video memory and/or video card information.
Hello,
I'm trying to find out how to return the video system information in vb6. Video Memory. GPU Speed, Card name, anything.
If anyone knows anything, even a lead that might lead to a lead that might lead to an answer would be outstanding. I've been searching for like 8 hours and haven't found anything. . . my eyes hurt.

Good Ol' Platypus
DirectX8 can give you Card Name, ANY 3D features it supports, VRAM, etc. I don't know how you can get the CPU speed, I'm assuming you'll have to use the Win32 API or something different.
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.
(Just a heads-up)

Check out the QueryPerformanceFrequency API function.
