Publish YOUR software!
Hello,
I'm working on a site, where everybody can download free software or demos. There will also be a short review of the software. I'll also want to offer infos about ambitious projects and the peoples who stand behind these projects.
So if you have a software you want to publish you can send it as email attachment to me and I'll add it to my page (with your name as the author, of course). Please send only .ZIP archives and no .exe files and keep them as small as possible( < 5MB ), because I only have a 28k modem and I don't want to spend the whole day downloading emails.
The page will be launched approximatly on 15th October 2001.
I'm also searching for some people who'll help me reviewing the software and who can translate some parts of my page from German to English. If you're intrested please send an email to [email protected].
Thanx to everyone who'll help me!

no offense raptor, but before getting this page up and running, get a faster internet connection. a 28k modem at 3k/s max is a bit dumb. consider dsl or cable...

I agree FTP Instead of E-mail
What I do is let my freinds upload there Items and then link to them....
DSL is the way to go ......I've seen cable do far slower and it's not as safe ....(IMO)
My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.

I think this has been said before, but
people could upload their programs to their own server/website and give you the link

I know our software division is working with the web people to get a freeware library up and going also. Except for software we designed, we link to the designer's servers. It's probably the easiest way to do it.
DAOK -- I believe a free Yahoo Pop3 account will allow for larger attachments than that, but don't hold me to that...

I'd suggest that you use Apache and be your own web server, but you never got that working, did you?
