well im just 2 days old to VB ...hmmm let me start with my problem
i have a macro which is able to do a specific function what i need to do now is that i have to customize (create a button which by clicking should call this macro) in word 2000. well just to create a button and link a macro works fine but just for that particular document only but the requirement is that whenever a word 2000 is opened this button should be a standard part of it(and thats the problem)!!!!! how to make a standard button for this macro in window.
any help is welcomed with utmost gratitude!!!

I am facing almost the same problem. I have developed Word macros using VBA. I have already set function keys, like f2 for instance, to run one of those macros and it works perfectly. What I want now is to know how to automate the process of setting function keys to run macros using a VB (not a VBA) programm. I don't want to have to performe the following steps on every pc at the office:
01- Press alt + f8
02- Write the name of the macro
03- Press button Create
04- Copy the macro
05- Press alt + q
06- Click on button Tools
07- Click on button Customize
08- Select the tab Options
09- Click on button Keyboard
10- Choose Macros in combo Categories
and so on ...

Would you please help me. I would really appreciate it. By the way, I'm from Brazil and my english is not so good.
