MartinLiss is still about. He created a thread recently about an issue with a USB hub. I replied and made a joke and he down-voted me with the following comment:

I was asking for help, not "humor".

I guess he's all business these days. Can't blame someone for reaching a point where they don't really want to hang around answering the same questions over and over though. You'd think humour would help.

Was it for making a joke? Seriously though, I've received a warning or two and I wasn't especially outraged at them either. I'm not even that bothered by this down-vote but I was a bit surprised. Seems an odd thing to disapprove of. Maybe he got a notification that there was a reply and he made the effort to come see it and it was my dumb joke. For the record, he was having an issue with a keyboard on a Mac and I suggested that he get a PC. Maybe it was a touchy subject. He did put "humor" in quotes, after all.

Actually, yes. There was a news article that a corn snake had hatched with two heads. I had a pet corn snake (actually a yellow rat snake but they're the same family) so it caught my eye. I made a post in ChitChat called "Check out my four eyed trouser snake" linking to the article. It was pretty childish and all he did was give me a warning so, yeah, I'll cop to that one.

Hah, that'd get you beaten up if tried it at the Apple store. Well, it'd get you a damn good scowling anyway.
