    Database Projects in VS

    Hi all

    Does anyone have an experience with Database Projects in VS? I have not used them before and am thinking of starting.

    Need any insights or tips if anyone has any

    Are you talking about a specific project template or simply any project with a database in it?

    I am just looking at setting up a new database project.... Adding all objects to that project and then being able to deploy that database to a server.

    It is simply an empty project for a database. Create New Project.... Type Database Project

    What version of VS are you using? I'm looking at VS 2015 with SQL Server Data Tools installed and I can see a SQL Server Database Project template listed. I seem to recall that older versions of VS may have had a template specifically named Database Project though.

    I am in VS 2015 and have the tools installed. I can create the project but can't seem to get it to do a deploy. Never get to a deployment screen that asks what server to install on
