I've got IE6, and it's pretty good. It crashes every so often, but when it does it asks if you want to send the error to microsoft...
You can lock the toolbars so they don't get all out of order(like if you accidently double click one)... I like it a lot...

Not in IE5.5, which was on my system when I "upgraded" to IE6.

IE6 has those mouse-over-image-popup-icons-click-save stuff that i partially hate, but i had some use of them.
Otherways no big changes - it crashes as often as IE5.5

As I understand it, you will be able to remove IE 6 from WinXP. I would hope that you would be able to uninstall IE 6b. 'Course, if you are Win2K, you can never remove IE or go below v5. And that, boys and girls, does suck much.

I'd wait until it is out of beta. It's been in beta so long that it should be out soon (definitely by Windows XP release).

I have not installed the full version i had the beta and one of the big diffrences cannot disable cookies. Cannot delete them. Hmm wonder how microsoft got so smart. Second you have that smart tag thing. You will see a doulbe underline on certain words and that is for advertising and helping the ease of navigation. You can add your own. Oh and alot of old treeview javascript and menus do not work. hehe. I have to redo the entire intranet at work.

woops, misspelled it. IEAK, Internet Explorer Administration Kit.
click here to goto IEAK homepage
i know its for distributing, but you can have it so it only works on your computer. you can customize IE alot with it (buttons, colors..etc)

I have played with IEAK. It's pretty cool, but you need a developer to work on it for a couple of weeks. So i gave up on it. It's not worth it.

IEAK has been saying "checking files" for the last 20min. i think i broke it.
you can disable cookies and smart tags. i have the smart tags disabled.
to disable cookies:
tools-> internet options -> privacy -> advanced -> check "override automatic cookie handling"
and there you go.
the beta is uninstallable (check ur add/remove progs, and it says so on the download page for teh beta)
