Thread: A Web based Email server

    I was wondering how to make a web based email server like hotmail , yahoo , icqmail runs i mean every company seems to have them and i was wondering if they wrote the page them selves or if they downloaded a program....

    well i wanna hear about it

    It's not really a server they use (as far as I know), but just a program that runs on the webserver.

    This kind of programs act as a mailclient with a POP3 connection with the mailserver.

    You can download such programs at http://www.cgi-resources.com for several languages.
