    ftp question

    I am makeing an FTP server in vb I know how to do it but i am a little confused about what type of format actuall communications between ftp servers and clients are. I want this to work with the clients now and so I want the format my server sends in to equal that of all other servers.

    Read the RFC on FTP: http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc959/

    I know, it's in HTML, I don't like it either.

    This document is the official specification for the FTP protocol, there are no 'better' documents
