And all of his chit chat posts seemed to have disapeared.......
They're here one day, and they're gone later that day

His post count is down to 5.
How many did he have?
It seems unlikely He'd wander to each of his posts and delete
them 1 by 1.
Anybody tried to e-mail him and ask?
Was this Moderately related to current events?

RyeBread,
Just a thought.
If you want, I'm sure many of us are willing to log in as you and help build your post count up again.
Of course, afterwards you'd propably want to change your password.

Thanks for the thought, but I would want the posts to be mine. It's just that I made the posts, where the Hell are they?
Maybe I should retire the RyeBread handle and start over. This whole thing is pissing me off now.
I think an evil moderator went insane, yeah that's it! What's up with all this moderating, hmm?
Who will be next to lose all their posts?!

Don't get angry!
I could be something much less sinister....why don't you ask the moderators if they can look into it for you?

Chit Chat posts don't count, right?
Once I find something to reply to in General, I will.
I don't think it's the count that's broken. I searched or my posts - they are not showing up!

Thats right. I forgot about that about chit-chat.
And, I know your posts are gone, too.
I did a search yesterday, found only 4 threads with your UName.
And saw that you were down to 5.
Its just so strange that this happened!

Relax, Eric. We don't know that anyone is "doing" this to us! They (the moderators) have recieved the message and have done nothing "evil" since the first day this started.
I do think its a good idea for RyeBread to contact the mods regarding his post count but lets not get paranoid. Nobody is out to get us.............yet.

In case you missed it in the other thread!
Just a suggestion....
When you notice things like this happening, you might want to ask the moderators if they could look into it for you. This gives them a chance to either let you know why they did it if they did or find the post and fix it for you. If we jump to the conclusion that everything that happens in here is due to some darker motive we will never get Chit-Chat back to the happy place it used to be.
Give the mods a chance to do their job.....i.e. look into mysteries like this....instead of assuming that they are the cause. Let them help you......until they start arbitrarily locking post or censoring people....we should give them a chance. The moderator who started all this hoopla has been made aware of how we feel and given a reply as to why he did what he did. Don't you think we can forgive his actions and move on from here?
If you treat them with respect they will do the same to you...if you treat them like the enemy that's just who they'll become!
I don't think Chit-Chat needs to be censored but the site does need to be moderated for the obvious reasons....posts dissapearing, people promoting their own businesses in here, posting problems, etc. Plus, I would like some recourse when someone like nukem comes in and starts to wreak havoc.
Can't we all just be vigilant against censorship without becoming paranoid about it?
Just my two cents worth!

That was when John changed a database and he later corrected the post counts.
