    NT GURU needed

    Hello Nt monkeys

    I have 2 questions;

    Firstly what is the pagefile.sys on the root of my drive?
    Can I delete it?

    Also everytime I run the P&D program on my NT machine the actual installer wants to restart the PC before I run it, theres about 8 files which gets installed prior to the Blue faded screen and NT complains they are out of date. Is it possible to stop this or do I have to just lump it??

    pagefile.sys is your virtual memory. Deleting it would be only slightly bad. And by slightly, I mean catastrophically.

    The other problem happens on some computers for me, as well. Don't let it restart on NT, you can probably just log out and in again.

    You can delelte the pagefile.sys if your not in NT, NT will recreate it when you start up

    You can also assign it to a different drive or different size by right-clicking My Computer, selecting Properties, Performance tab, Change button.
