Mono for Android - Worth getting? Reliable?
Hello All,
The title says it all really. Looking to shell out $399 on Mono but really reticent to do this if it isn't up to the job. How often have you encountered problems with it? Is it reliable? Does it support underlying .NET libraries? Is it a royal pain in the back door or does it work nice and smoothly most of the time? Any thoughts would be really useful as this purchase is a fair old chunk of my net worth!

I am sorry but this, besides supporting underlying .NET libraries, has absolutely nothing to do with this forum's topic. Please use another forum.

@TheBilly - just wondering who made you king? I didn't vote for you. And accepting cutlery from a watery tart is certainly no basis for a civilized government. Next time, just report the thread and ask that it be moved...

I cannot even see the basis of your argument. I hate having to get anal like this but i'm not going to be spoken to like that. The description in the forum states; " or anything to do with VB .NET programming", Mono for Android is a tool specifically designed to allow those programming in .net (this includes VB.net) to write applications for the android platform. The fact that it supports underlying .NET libraries I think; makes this an entirely worthy question to ask here. I am asking VB.NET programmers of their experiences programming using .NET with this tool. It seems that there is an influx of individuals; such as yourself; who would rather spend their time being unnecessarily critical in life rather than being positive and working as a team here to get things done.
You really need to grow up. I sincerely hope you do because, if you take what I have said on board; even just a little bit; you'll enjoy a far more positive outlook.

I'm very interested in hearing anything I can about Mono and VB.NET as well. I'm hoping someone posts some insight.
