Can't add "Open Project" to VS2010 toolbar

I've recently installed VS 2010 and have been customising the toolbar layout to include all of my most common commands - i.e. making it look exactly like my VS 2008 toolbar. Unfortunately, I can't find the "Open Project" button in the list of commands. In 2008 it's in the list of File commands, but in 2010 it's not there - although "Close Project" is.

According to this post, you can find it if you ask for the C# layout but not the VB layout. Does anyone know if this is the case, and if so, could I switch to the C# layout, get this toolbar button, and then switch back to the VB version without losing all of the toolbar changes I've already made?

    Thanks...

I don't think I understand your predicament. If you take a look at the ss I provide below, you'll see that open is included in "insert standard items" for both the toolbar and the menustrip.

I could be missing what you're asking though. Please lemme know if I misunderstood you.

Sorry, I think I might need to be clearer. I'm actually talking about the VS2010 IDE itself, rather than any of the form controls. Hopefully this screenshot should help explain what I mean.

The toolbar does already have "Open File", but not "Open Project".

Tools -> Options -> Environment node -> General node, Keyboard -> "Apply the following additional keyboard mapping scheme" ... mine is set to "(Default)"

When I then customize a toolbar and I select "New Command" ... I get the File -> Open Project...

Thanks TG, but sadly that didn't do it. My list still goes straight from "Open from source control" to "Page setup".

Yup, mine too. I don't suppose it'll be of any comfort to know that the option's back in 2012 Express.

You wouldn't believe how long it's taken me to persuade them to move to 2010 (in many places we're upgrading from VB3!), so I'm not going to hold my breath for 2012.
