Maybe this site is a British website, but shouldn't it be vbforums.co.uk?

well John is british, and he's the big bad boss man.
you can have any TLD suffix you like, co.uk, com, uk.com, org, org.uk, net etc etc. We like to steal your coms but no one else really does (Ive never seen a .com french site for example)

Yeah, you can tell that America made the Internet.
Someone should've stepped in and started forcing .us for all American TLDs, and then left no bare TLDs without a ccTLD. 'Course, someone should've stepped in and decided on the TLDs and instituted them to stop the stupid bicker over which ones to introduce. It isn't as hard as IPv6, you know?
Anyway... a country can set up filters so that if you are in, say the UK, you don't have to use .uk, it just assumes .uk. You would have to explicitly use .us to get to say, www.cnn.com.
I don't think anyone has done this, but I read that it could be done.

Heh... oh yeah, VB Sucks. Maybe Britian just isn't aware of that, yet.
Perhaps they are aware and they just don't care.

Well, my client's office is probably 40% immigrated Indian, so we may have a lot of Indians who are not currently in India. *shrug* As I understand, they are second behind China is population (or is it just density).
Yeah, and Ozzies? Do we really have a lot, or are they just that loud?

You can now have us.com, but I don't think anyone bothers with that...
