Some days when I think about the next 30 years or so of my life I am going to spend writing code, I happily contemplate stepping off a curb in front of a fast moving bus.
Quickbooks is what most small businesses use to handle their accounting. They have desktop and online solutions. I wrote a project management application for a company, and basically they want to be able to pull stuff like vendor information and invoices into it. I know it can be done, but Intuit's documentation is god awful.
