    YOU KNOW WHATS BEEEEEEEEE ESSSS!!!!

Microsoft. What a bunch of BS they are. Back when they came out with XP, it rocked. But then came Vista, it sucked royally. Sucked so much it made Windows ME look good. Then came Windows 7 which almost kicksass again, or does it? Here you are minding your own business playing a MMORPG, in a 25 man raid bout to defeat a very very difficult boss thats fixing to drop some really good gear you can use. But then the computer resets on ya cause of the stupid Windows update that sometimes pops up on the bottom right hand of the screen and only gives you 10 minutes to reboot or postpone. But you don't see it cause your game is fullscreen covering it up!!! Need to leave immediately from where ever you are at with your laptop cause you're late for a meeting? You try to shut down but....oh wait you got 5 major updates that need to install before the computer shuts off! Then they have the absolute nerve to put update folders all over your well organized C drive such as 57fef4183f778de84f59ad66e8567f28 and 871c5d783b0deb9c0a8bfdaa9849d801 and a dozen others that is impossible to delete cause you don't have the privileges to do so even though its no longer needed! That's BS! Don't do that! Having computer issues? Call customer support. I'm sorry, the MS customer support representative you are calling is NOT American. Yes they have you call someone in India to fix your computer. Also they hide half the features to make you fully utilize the operating system. From someone who had XP whos new to Windows 7, you'll be scratching your head saying "Wheres Folder Options? Wheres File, Edit, View, Tools, and Help?" Ooooooo you gotta press the Alt key.....to actually see them while the folder is open. Why does it need to be so cryptic? It's the basic options of any folder! Also their MSPaint program in Windows 7 seems like an improvement with new features but it actually sucks. Why does the default of everything need to be a huge thickness with no fill? Why are you limited to just creating 10 colors? Why does both the primary and secondary color need to be the same in order to draw just a rectangle or a square with just one color! I can go on and on but all I can say is, Microsoft...is BS.

Last time I called MS tech support, I, too, was transferred to a non-US citizen. After a bit of conversation, he mentioned that he was three hours ahead of me, which is a time zone that has very little land. I asked him about that, and he confirmed that he was located in the Canadian Maritime province. What an odd place to have a call center.

    Newfies work cheap I guess.

I actually find Vista not bad at all as an XP replacement. It gets badmouthed a lot by people who've never used it seriously. Windows 7 is what sucks with its washed-out pastel look, taskbar "junklists" and taskbar insanity in general. Come on, seriously? Tray expansion to a balloon tip!?!?!

But if you want to get mad test drive Win8 for a while. Ribbons to the left of me, ribbons to the right of me. No Start Menu. Monochromatic popup "tiles" coming from tray items. Plus all the badness of Win7. And that doesn't even count the weirdness of Metro!

I think it will sell less than Vista unless radical changes are made before its release.

    What's BS?

    1st
    2nd
    3rd

and every number after that has a 'th' suffix. Why did those first three have to be different? If they had been consistent, then we would have an easy time building a string for numbers, but instead, you have to make exceptions for the first three out of all the infinite integers.

I fell into the old finite math trap: All odd numbers are prime! 1: Yes, 3: Yes, 5: Yes, 7: Yes, and 9 is the exception that proves the rule.

    YOU KNOW WHATS BEEEEEEEE ESSSS?!!!

Download Sites. Sites like RapidShare, Fileupload, Fileserve, Megaupload. Sure they got great stuff, but there are times theyll put up something and you end up with something else rather than the file you downloaded. Such as a virus, adware, spyware, or even a completely different video than whats named. You download one file. Then even after you finish downloading that file you gotta wait minutes or even hours before they even allow you to download the next file, unless you pay for their service. Whats this? A passcode where you gotta type 2 seperate words. Ok the first word is no problem. Its actually a word and I can read it and all, but why the hell do they need to make the 2nd word unreadable with a line across it and make it a word that's not even in the dictionary that's wavey! I can't even tell what half the letters are! I'm the BS man, and I say thats BS.

Use dropbox or box.net instead. All you get on rapidshare are pirated mp3 files that contain viruses.

Irrelevant. The statement was: All ODD numbers are prime. 2 may be prime, but it isn't odd. In fact, it is quite common. 2 is normal, 3 is kinky, and 5 is downright perverse.

Firstly all odd numbers aren't prime and secondly neither are all prime numbers odd.

Thirdly: What I was stating was an old joke that may be considered semi-popular amongst applied mathematicians. I wasn't stating it as some kind of fact, which the final line about 9 being the exception that proved the rule, should have given away.

Another thing about English number names
    Tens - Unique
    Hundreds - Unique
    Thousands - Unique
Ten Thousands - Combination of ten and Thousand
Hundred Thousand - Combination of Hundred and thousand
    Million - Unique
    Billion - Unique
    ....
Why doesn't all the power's of 10 have unique names ? Who decided that ten thousand and hundred thousand should be combinations of previous unique names ?

Also, Time Is BS! Why is Time in different bases ? 1000 miliseconds in a second, 60 seconds in a minute 60 miutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day and inconsistent amount of days in months. It would be much easier if they just stuck to base 10.

So 10 hours in a day, 10 days in a week and 10 days in a month, 10 months in a year. Yeah I can see that happening.

And apparently the idiots that invented "Time" screwed up, so to make up for it, they invented "Daylight Savings Time," which happens twice a year by exceeding one hour one day, and going back an hour another day. This is still confusing to many people, and is the reason why so many people become late for work. Total complete BS.

    You know whats total BS!

How people drive on the highway. Think about it. Typically the average major highway is 70 mph for the speed limit. Me personally, I tend to only drive 5 over the speed limit to avoid getting pulled over. But to people who drive out there, it's not enough. So what do they do? No not 80. They drive 85-95 mph. And I'm not just talking a few drivers you see on the road, it's pretty much nearly everybody. Stereotypically it's the people who have large SUV's and 4x4 trucks, but it's the cars too! Why risk getting pulled over? I just drove from Kissimmee all the way to Miami today which is a 4 hour drive, driving on I95, and practically every person out there was speeding. But do speed limits matter? According to an article I ran into, the only person it really matters to are the police and insurance company's. Read this! But still, why risk getting pulled over? Noone seems to ever wanna follow the speed limit laws anymore. If you do the speed limit, you get tailgated by some A-hole in his gigantic 4x4 truck who's trying to force you to speed or move out of the way, then he passes you and honks his horn as he does so and ends up going 20 mph more than you even if you were to do 5 over. What's ironic and stereotypical is that people who drive tiny pickup trucks tend to do 5 under the speed limit out on the highway. Practically everyone of em! I'm the BS man. and I say that's BS.

That's all because of where you live. I spent almost five years in Key Largo, so I know what I'm talking about when I say: South Florida is a whole different planet, especially when it comes to driving.

Someone needs to take a relook at the speeding laws and decide if it's worth having them at all. The best way to discourage people from speeding is bad roads. If the roads are broken down, nobody's going to speed.

The second favorite is make cars that don't go over a certain speed limit. This one, you would think is more logical, yet manufacturers want consumers to go faster and faster.

It isn't the manufacturers wanting consumers to go faster, it is an expectation that the consumers want that. The manufacturers may well be right. In the US, power and size have been the largest selling factors for decades. This may change as gas prices rise.

The manufactures are in cahoots with the oil industry. If everyone drove a little slower, they would less gas. Also speed is addictive. There's a certain rush one experiences when the speedometer touches the 101 mph mark. The manufacturer's know this and are feeding our addiction while helping the oil industry at the same time.

I used to have an old '82 Honda Civic. I put a boat on it and found that it wouldn't top 60MPH on flat ground. Not ever. On hills, without the boat, I'd often be down below 40 MPH. However, the gas mileage was pretty awesome. These days, you can't get a US car with that little power, and you can barely get one with that great gas mileage.

The cars on the market are not the range of what people would want, they are narrowly designed for what a certain slice of the demographic want.

    YOU KNOW WHATS BS!!!

Ads on the Internet...Part 2 I hate em as you already know. But there's a reason I'm bringing this back. It's because I'm sick and tired of ads all over the Internet! They're like mosquitos. Go away you stupid ads! Me personally, I love watching YouTube. It was Ok to have an ad on the top right corner, and it was bad enough having it before a video, as well as during as banners, but they really did it in by having ads on the left side and the right side of every single video window covering the text of the video info as well as part of the comments and video suggestions! At least on Mozilla it does this. Not sure bout IE or Chrome. But thats BS! They got too many ads as it is! Next thing you know they'll be called AdTube, cause thats all it is are ads!!! But then I ran into the solution to this problem which not only affects YouTube, but all sites. It's a browser addon called AdBlock Plus, for Mozilla Firefox. It only takes but a few seconds, literally, to download. And you don't need to reset your browser. Then the problem is solved. No more ad banners. No more ads in your browser period. No more annoying pop ups. No ad message before VBForums. No ads before, during, and/or even after your video. Etc., etc., etc. You now have ad free internet. And your sites load faster as a result. Now I don't wanna seem hypocritical and say that this is an ad in itself, but let me tell ya. If this is considered an ad, then it's an ad worth reading. Especially if you want to have ad free internet. I'm sure there's something for IE and Chrome, or even whatever browser the Mac uses. I'm the BS man, and I say Ads are BS!

The original creator of McDonald's called it MacDonald's while the new owner calls it MickDonald's. We started youtubing McDonald's commercials around the world just so she can prove me wrong. Even around the world some countries call it Mac like Japan and all the Spanish countries, while others like Australia calls it MickDonald's. Majority of Miami is Spanish anyways and has a large Black community as well in some parts so it's no wonder why they all call it MacDonald's. I say it goes both ways cause both ways are correct but in a literal English sense, what a bunch of BS that MickDonald's was said so much it became the norm. Afterall, if you say something wrong enough times, it becomes right.
McDonald is a Scottish name and is pronounced "MuckDonald".
MacDonald is a different Scottish name and is pronounced "MackDonald".

So who pays for the content with no ads? I'm not thrilled about them, either, but the whole internet revenue model amazes me. We get a whole lot for zero dollars simply because there are ads. Take them all away and things would change. Some changes would be good, but most would not. Google gets ALL of their revenue from advertising. If Google went away, we'd all be worse off. So, we have to put up with something for this to work.

Ads really only benefit the web master. If the user just wants to watch a small clip, he doesn't need to be bombarded with ads. Thats as ridiculous as Blue Rays and DVDs preventing you from skipping 10 minutes of ads and trailers whenever you try watching a movie. You don't want ads, you just want to watch your movie!

I think the category of Web site that seems to suffer the most from advertising overload is the "news" arena.

The "magazine" type sites are really bad, but "newspaper" sites seem to be even worse. There is so much junk and so little content per page, they do their damnedest to stretch a 400-word article over as many ad-laden continuation pages as possible, the advertisers are allowed to use any annoying (and heavy to download) technology they please, etc.

    The result is unusable.

Many magazines have "gone online" and provide content only in proprietary e-reader formats that are also so full of ads you want to puke. But you can save that for the articles themselves, the bulk of which (even editorials) have turned into nothing but product ads themselves.

I actually like the movie previews. I've found loads of good movies that way which I would never normally hear about. In fact, I would guess that some 70% of the movies I have seen via Netflix have been added to the list because I saw a preview in a different movie.

Yeah but the point is, you bought a movie, and are forced to watch the previews over anf over and over everytime you play it. You keep spamming the menu button only to find you are prohibited to. At least back when VHS was the norm, nothing prohibited you to fast forward. After seeing the ad for the umteenth time, it gets agrivating. Nothing to do but drink a beer till the movie starts.

    Bought? What's that?!?!?!?

I can certainly see how THAT would be annoying. The one and only movie I own has no previews, so I had no idea that there were previews on purchased movies.
