Professional Graph Creation

Hi guys, this is my first post here in VBForums. I bet lot of professionals were online so they can give me some pointers. I have a background in developing applications using VS.Net now, more specifically I used VB.Net as my main programming language. Now my project that I was assigned were to create a graph presentation using Crystal Report base on record data saved in our database.

By looking our database number of data that would give me a thousands of records. Oh I forgot my database hold up all the businesses we're inputed in (Accessories Retailer, Banks, Circus, Amusement etc). So I need to design a graph report displaying all the businesses and their overall gross sales. I already created one however it give me too cluttered report that the lines, names can't even see properly.

So could anyone give me some pointers or samples on how to accomplish this problem. How am I going to give them a presentable graphical report.

There are plenty of crystal reports examples to be found, type "vb.net crystal reports" into google.
