    Talking Microsoft's Magic !!!

Things that MICROSOFT Could not Explain!

    TRY this....

    MAGIC #1

Found that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the Computer which can be named as "CON". This is something funny and inexplicable? At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this happened! TRY IT NOW, IT WILL NOT CREATE A "CON" FOLDER

    MAGIC #2

For those of you using Windows, do the following:
1.) Open an empty notepad file
2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)
3.) Save it as whatever you want.
4.) Close it, and re-open it.
Noticed the weird bug? No one can explain!

    Magic #3

Did you know that a flight number from one of the planes that hit one of the two WTC towers on 9/11 was Q33N. In Notepad / WordPad or MS Word, type that flight number i.e Q33N. Increase the font size to 72. Change the font to Wingdings. ..... u will be amazed by the findings!!!

    Try it

    Yawn, yawn.

    Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces
    • Do not use the following reserved device names for the name of a file:
    CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9. Also avoid these names followed immediately by an extension; for example, NUL.txt is not recommended. For more information, see Namespaces.

#2 doesn't happen on current versions of Windows, since IsTextUnicode() was improved. Time to get off XP, hmm?

This is very old. Especially CON. Typing one of those keywords, for example con\con in Run would crash windows.

Actually, it isn't boring at all, because Q33N has no relationship to any of the planes in any way. The fact that you get an interesting graphic that could be considered relevant to 9/11 is unimpressive unless that characters that result in that graphic are somehow relevant to 9/11. Since those characters are NOT relevant in any way, the whole issue becomes considerably more interesting than if the characters HAD been relevant. After all, this has become a self-perpetuating scam (though initially the characters were reported to be Q33NY, because Y is the Star of David, so the sequence became anti-Semitic). Scam news of this nature is hardly boring as it feeds into paranoia and other oddities of the human mind. In short, it isn't boring, it's alarming. How much of the reality of borderline types is shaped by perpetuated garbage like this?

CON is just a console - I guess you would have to be a product of the late 70's to even know what that is!

    Re: Microsoft's Magic !!!

Somewhat late to the party, I'm afraid, but on the topic of absurd translations into Wingdings I wondered what you get if you type AL QAEDA.

    Answer:
    - Towers
    - Plane
    - Two towers down
    - Thumbs down
    - Towers rebuilt

Of course, that's assuming you translate to l33t spk first and write it as 4L Q43D4
If you don't, you get a load of two-fingered symbols. Hmmmmm.....

That said, if you write LOAD OF OLD COBBLERS and convert to Wingdings, you'll be truly astonished by what you find. And whatever you do, don't be tempted to try I CAN MAKE THIS LOOK LIKE ANYTHING or the world will end.
    I use VB 6, VB.Net 2003 and Office 2010

    Code:
Excel Graphing | Excel Timer | Excel Tips and Tricks | Add controls in Office | Data tables in Excel | Gaussian random number distribution (VB6/VBA,VB.Net) | Coordinates, Vectors and 3D volumes
