Ne: VBScript and ASP for Dummies

I know jack-sh][t about either topic, but am interested in learning something... does anyone know any sites or such that would take me from step 1 to some level of almost not ignorance? PLZ help, cause ready to learn, but don't know where to start, preferrably without having to buy a big ass $50 book first...

Well, sooner or later you're gonna need to get a book on it, the web sites are totally crap, I gave up in the end.

The best was Microsofts for VBScript (which tells you what the other sites must have been like ) and that's got hardly anything .

    www.microsoft.com/scripting

I'd definitly save save up & get yourself a book, for VBS, it'll be the learning vbscript by O'Reilly books (ISBN 1-56592-247-6), when you're okay with this, try the Wrox beginning ASP book.

I agree that books are the best way to learn. They take you step by step and explain how to do things.

As far as not being any good web sites, I disagree. There are a ton of good sites out there for all levels of expertise. One of the best for ASP is www.4guysfromrolla.com. Although they do not have a tutorial, they have tons of articles and good explanations in each article. Another good one is www.15seconds.com, but they are usually a little more advanced.
