    hi my names Bhavik, i'm making a program in VB6 and i was wondering if
    there was any way of limiting the number of characters in textboxes, i
    would
    be greatful for any help you may be able to offer me

    Hi Baz,

    It's quite simple.

    When you create the text box, one of it's properties is - MaxLength. It will be set to 0. Just change it to the required maximum

    the thing is that their is a code which i need as this is part of a project, and i have to incorporate it in many other forms

    Is this what you want?

    Text1.MaxLength = 15

    Do this for each of the textboxes you want, replacing Text1 with the name of the textbox and 15 with the value it must be.
