    can i still access an .mdb file on a remote server?

    i have this web server from my ISP for free.. an the only way to access it is by uploading thru ftp.. since i have no access to the controlpanel of that web server.. is it possible then to read the mdb file?

    Couldn't you just Telnet to the sever? Presumeably you have one client IP address, you could provide a secure connection based on that. I think IIS on NT Server has it as a built in facility, but I'm not sure how to do it in Linux/Unix.
