So much better than the US version. I love Extras even more.

Yeah, it is simply superb. Genius is an overused word, but I really do think it is appropriate. This is a hilarious deleted scene.

Ugh... I hate this version. It might because I'm American and the American version is what I saw first.
But, I decided to give this version a chance. When I watched S1E1, I was surprised to see that the American version is almost exactly the same in every way. I guess they didn't want to fix what wasn't broken.
I don't really care for either boss, so I based whether I like it or not, on the other relationships in the office.
I hate the UK version of Dwight. He's not funny. He has the same whiny nature and sucks up to the boss, but it just does't quite click. And the UK version of Jim is awful. He doesn't have the same nonchalant quirkiness that his American counter part does.
And the UK Pam is no good either. Her American counter part just seems to play her role so well. It's hard to explain, but the UK version of Pam just seems... bland.
I gave it two episodes before I just shut it off. I couldn't continue any more.

Well, the US version is more or less a classic sitcom, which is fine. But the genius of the original series is just that, it's not a classic sitcom. The comedy of the original is in realistic, mostly awkward situations. It has a certain point and story to tell, it does it in very few episodes and that's it. No milking it for viewers or ratings, no piles of random comedic incidents.
Try Extras, a brilliant series by Gervais as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extras

Ricky Gervais isn't someone who I call funny. Sure, the first couple of times of Office it was funny, but after a while it gets old. Doesn't help that he plays the same damn character over and over again.
I also saw a bit of Extras once, and it seemed like the same awkward humour. Not really too entertaining.

Ugh. Hate this show. Like a trip to the dentist for somebody with dental problems.
