Resolved [RESOLVED] Office Outlook not responding

    Hi,

I am not able to load Office Outlook 2003 on my Windows 7 laptop. I keep receiving a message about Office Outlook not responding. So I try to reinstall Office Professional Edition 2003 but I encounter the following message:

A required installation file: SKU112.CAB could not be found.

I can't figure out where this file is located on the installation disk or even why this error is occurring?

    Thanks,

    Nightwalker

    Re: Office Outlook not responding

Looking at the installation files that were transferred to the hard drive during setup the only file I can find that is close to the "SKU112.CAB" is the "SKU112.XML" file.

    Edit:

I have uninstalled then reinstalled Microsoft Office about half-a-dozen times still the above problem occurs. If I choose to "Detect and Repair" the error I receive a message saying the problem has been successfully fixed. Although, when I try to load Office Outlook I receive the "Office Outlook not responding" dialog this time with the "Debug" or "Close" options available.

If I choose debug I receive the following message box:

    Visual Studios Just-In-Time Debugger

An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Outlook.exe [1924].
Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following
error: No installed debugger has has Just-In-Time debugging enabled.
In Visual Studio, Just-In Time debugging can be enabled from
    Tools/Options/Debugging/Just-In-Time.

Check the documentation index for 'Just-in-time debugging errors'
    for more information.

However, I only have the express edition of C# 2008 installed and going to the debugging option there is only one check box "Suppress JIT optimization on module load (Managed only)" which has anything to with JIT and of-course unchecking the box and saving changes does not help.

    Re: Office Outlook not responding

Well, I have tried installing the Office SP1 that was included on the second cd as well as other stuff on the cd. However, neither that nor copying the data files, etc from my Vista pc and putting them in "C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook" didn't help either so I am currently trying a system restore and see if that solves the problem. If it does then hopefully I figure what caused the problem in the first place.

    Edit:

Download and installing Office 2003 SP3 solved the problem. Although, I thought I had already installed it maybe I accidentally uninstalled it before. Ah well, the problem is fixed now.
