    Forums slower than Mississippi Molassas in the Winter

    For the last two hours, VBF has been acting incredibly slow from time to time. When it does happen, I get "Waiting for ads.atdmt.com..." in my status (I think I got the name right...) A few times it's cause a complete timeout trying to connect to VBF, a few times it's caused a quick post to double post, giving me the "You must wait 30 seconds between posts" message. And a few times it's caused me to head-butt my keyboard in angony just trying to open a couple of threads.

    Re: Forums slower than Mississippi Molassas in the Winter

    Is it usual for a new Poster to wait for 3 hours or more for their first post to be approved? I was hoping to start the process today, but my post (made at about 1:30) does not seem to have shown up yet. I am willing to wait as longe as is nevessary due to the level of competency that I have seen in the replies, but was wondering if this was normal.

    not that it's related to my post... but maybe... the first post or two are moderated by actual, live people... so sometimes it depends on when someone can get to it. Prevents drive-by postings by spammers.

    Thanks for the reply and sorry for hijacking your post, but I was trying to see where I as allowed to post, and this was the first place outside of the test area that let me. My post is finally visible, and I see that a number of people have looked at it.

    @techgnome,

    The forums seem to be running fine now! At least on my end. Maybe extra traffic or work was being done on the servers was the cause of the forums being slow.
