    Exclamation Icons/BMPS and MFC Menus...

    Ok, this may be a real "newbie" question to most; but how do i get 256 color icons on my toolbar? I've scoured msdn for information but I can't find anything closely useful.

    Can anyone help?

    I assume this is an MFC toolbar

    As long as you have a 256-colour icon available for that resource it should work, it did for me (although this was a while ago before I stopped using MFC)

    Sorry Parksie,

    This didn't work. It is an MFC toolbar and I have about 15 256 8bit BMP's imported as both icons and bmps, but I still cannot get anything more than 16 colours out of the app! What gives?
