dot matrix printer font
hello!
i have an existing file but since the text is too large and i have so many fields, i decided to change its page setup to landscape. by the way, the font i use is draft 20 cpi, and here comes my problem, when i change my page setup the fonts of my report also changes. and when i try to bring back my original font which is draft 20 cpi, i can't find it on the list.
i need to use draft 20 cpi so the printing time is faster.
i hope somebody out there can help me.
any help is greatly appreciated!

The information supplied by you is very cryptic. Provide more info of what kind of file you are printing, by what method (say vb, C, or other languages) and things like that, so that people can help you...
oh! im sorry!im using vb6 and crystal report 9.
here are my problems:
1.when i change my page setup to landscape the font also changes.
2.draft 20 cpi doesn't appear when i try to bring back the font of my texts since they were changed on my first problem.
thank you for your reply VBFnewcomer!

That shouldn't happen ... see if you have some code somewhere to change the fontface based upon some conditions....

Re: dot matrix printer font
I don't like crystal reports and try not to use it. But I had an idea, try changing other things like the margin or something else. Maybe ANY change you make causes it to change the font for some reason. Also what kind of font is it? Does it appear in the fonts section in control panel?

Re: dot matrix printer font
i tried creating a new report, i placed a text and changed its font to draft 20cpi. it worked. but when i set the page setup to landscape, the font was changed also.
maybe the printer font doesn't support page property in landscape.(just my opinion.hehe)
i already switched my report into portrait setup but i still hope that somebody can answer this problem in crystal report.

Re: dot matrix printer font
Control panel displays screen AND printer fonts. Most fonts are both. A Printer only font won't display on your screen (a substitute may be supplied, depending on the application).
See if you can install that font on your system, that should solve your problem.
