Ok, here's the problem...

I have created an ActiveX Project to put on my company's Intranet. Works fine. I compile it, package it, put in on the server, create a page with a link to the .vbd, and it works fine... on some stations.

On some other stations, they log onto the intranet, go to the page that links to the .vbd, I get a VERY quick download box (not even enough time to read it - so the .CAB is not getting downloaded), and that's all. No error, nothing. It just says finished.

Then, I tried to do it locally (thinking that the server might be the problem. Same thing - I double-click on the .vbd, it starts explorer, and then explorer shuts down again.

But here's the really strange thing: if I recompile on the machine where it wasen't working, it will then work... on that machine. I go back to my original station, and try to run it there, and I get the same problem.

I have spend pretty much all day looking for articles of help files on the subject, but so far, nothing. All the documentation I have seen on ActiveX docs say that getting them to run is very simple: just add a link to the .vbd.

Does anyone out there have any ideas? I'm getting desperate!

Thanks!
