Re: Addin for Excel 2010
I don't have the same configuration as you, but these in general might help:
1. Set the cursor to Cursors.SizeAll to show the 4 arrowheads (move) :
Code:
Panel1.Cursor = Cursors.SizeAll
2. That's because Cursor is an ambient property. The controls automatically inherit properties from its container (Panel in this case), when not set explicitly. So the best way to prevent this when you don't want is to explicitly set the property at design time.
Try this: Select All controls on the panel. Set the cursor property to anything but Default/Arrow. Then set it back to Default/Arrow.
3. Add a ToolTip control to the form. Since this is an extender type control, all your controls will then have additional properties for tooltip added to it. (One ToolTip control will suffice for all tooltips on the form)

Re: Addin for Excel 2010
Set AutoSize property to False, in the Properties window. After that you can make it any size just like any other control.
Also experiment around with the TickStyle property. One of those other styles might appease you.

It's already looking dashing.
Maybe showing a gif image of that record player actually revolving the record there would give a realistic impression of song being played.
