Greetings,

How can I place a file name in text2 without showing the file extension?

If the filename is Abc.rtf, I want the text2 box only to show Abc.

Private Sub File2_Click()

 RTFtext1.LoadFile File2.Path & "\" & File2.FileName, rtfRTF

Use Split() with . as delimiter

Example

Sub Sample()
    Dim MyArray() As String
    
    MyArray = Split(File2.Filename, ".")
    
    Text2.Text = MyArray(0)
End Sub

Or you can use Left/Mid and InStr (or InStrRev) functions:

Text1.Text = VBA.Left(File2.Filename, InStr(1, File2.Filename, ".") - 1)
