    I am making a strategy computer game of the style of AOE or Warcraft, that type of deal. Should I use DX8 or DX7? If I use DX8 I have to use D3D since directdraw was removed. Help?

    Use DX8, D3D has been replaced by DXGraphics, its' now easier to use..
