    Resolved Threads

I notice many of the threads are now marked as Resolved. A word [RESOLVED] appears in front of the thread title, and a tick mark icon appears before the thread title. That's a very useful feature.

What I am wondering though, is can we have a system where threads marked as Resolved are pushed down in the listing so the open threads will appear on top? If half the threads I am viewing at are resolved, I am unable to see half the threads which still need to be resolved.

Or have a custom search feature available to a member to view threads NOT marked as resolved and view all threads?

    Just a thought.

Use meaningfull thread titles. And add "[Resolved]" in the thread title when you have got a satisfactory response.

We've had this feature for over 4 years now! Where have you been?

I understand the feature you want and I'd like it too but unfortunately it's not possible with the current system.

    Been hibernating

Anyways, I noticed another odd little thingy. Sometimes when I visit a forum, I only see a handful of threads. Sometimes, it shows a whole pageful of them. What's going on?

Check the "Display Options" section under the list of threads. There's a cut-off date period which is set differently in different sections. If you set it, it saves a cookie.

Or you can change the default display cut off globally in the user's CP, options page.
