Resolved [RESOLVED] New PM Message Box?

It would be nice to be notified that I have a new PM. Does that option already exist, other than the "Your Notiifcations" link? I see there is an option for tracking PMs, but what I'm asking is if there is a way to have a simple msgbox alert you that you have a new PM whenever you refresh a page or on some timer? Possibly alert you when you first open/logon to VBForums? The message box may simply ask you to either acknowledge or redirect you to your PM listing.

I know we have that "Your Notifications" text near the top right corner. But honestly, sometimes, I just don't noticed that it changed.

Other forums I've been associated with do have this functionality; though it isn't a user-defined option; it is automatic. Maybe this one does too and I am too blind/dumb to see the option

The message box is there as an option, which I guess you turned off at some point.

It is in User CP -> Edit Options, just tick the box "Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up".

Really? I'll look again and maybe I'm just skipping over it. I spent several minutes there before I posted here. Off to browse the CP again.

Ah, I finally found it. It is a checkbox in the "Edit Options" page. Thanx Marty & SI.

Unfortunately, the answer to one of the questions in post #1 is: I was too blind/dumb to see it
