Mark Thread Resolved/UnResolved

Just had couple of observations/suggestions

1) If we can "Mark Thread Resolved" then why can't we "Mark Thread UnResolved"? I know that we can do that my editing the subject and also changing the icon but then since vbf has always encouraged on using the threads menu to mark thread resolved, shouldn't we have an option for vice versa?

2) Why do I get the "Mark Thread Resolved" option in someone else's thread?

Thanks for posting but...
1) Rarely needed and it's something that a person can do manually when needed.
2) You can't "mark" someone else's thread and so yes, it doesn't need to be there, but there's no harm.

Agreed, but like I mentioned in the 1st post...

Ummmm... yeah there's no harm. I can look at it from that perspective but there is one more perspective to it...

Currently this mod is a manual code edit in more then one locaiton and file.
It would be more beneficial to port it over to a plugin but the amount of that work is probably out of scope here and besides it may not be compatible with vB 4.0 which was released back in December.

Perhaps one day before the next upgrade we can look into it.
