Re: My Documents in another language

I just had a stray thought.

At first I was thinking that your program might be very US, UK, etc. (English speaking country) oriented so what you're seeing might not be indicative of a market segment you might want to persue.

Then I realized there are still many communities (in the US anyway) where German, at least an older form of it, is still extensively taught, spoken, and read: conservative communities of certain religious background who originated in Germany and German-speaking Europe. The common language is "Pennsylvania Dutch" or "Swiss German" depending on the group. This doesn't mean they don't also speak English though.

While these folks tend to stick to limitations on power-line electricity and many modern devices it does not mean they won't use something like a computer where deemed appropriate. I would not be surprised if some are active in things like home construction or remodeling trades as well.

Anyway, my point is you might consider whether you have found a market segment that might benefit from a German-language version of your software.

    Just a thought.
