What are the functions required for Microphone Amplification and Speaker Normalization in Visual Basic 6.0?

I use my computer as a phone (but its not VOIP) and sometimes people have a hard time hearing me even as I yell in to the Microphone.

Is it possible to normalize speaker output using Visual Basic 6.0?
