Windows media player recorder - can anyone make?
Hi guys, I am looking for some one to make a really simpe application which will allow users to record live streaming.
For example
1 text box
1 windows media control
1 command button
a user then puts in the text box a url to live streaming file (a .asx) file...
and then presses record it then should record the live video stream and save it on to their computer once they press stop..
Hopefully someone understands, if you need more info please ask,
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm not sure that would be possible using Windows Media Player because as the name suggests I think it is just a music player and doesn't have the ability to record.
when you quote a post could you please do it via the "Reply With Quote" button or if it multiple post click the "''+" button then "Reply With Quote" button.
If this thread is finished with please mark it "Resolved" by selecting "Mark thread resolved" from the "Thread tools" drop-down menu.

Well I would have to say that this forum is here to assist you in making it yourself. I could try to make it but I don't feel all that inclined at the moment.
Slower than a crippled Vista
More buggy than a fresh XP install
Look! Down the road, some 50 miles behind the drunken snail.
It's Ubuntu!

You are not bugging people if you are asking valid questions. I would advise that look at doing little bits of this at a time. firstly find out how to interact with WMP and then move on from there. it takes time to learn.
Good Luck
