Any web software for email?
There's plenty of software around for client machines that allow POP, IMAP, SMTP etc to be used for multiple accounts. It's a great way to keep all your email accounts managed in one location.
But is there any software on the web which does the same thing? Something like gmail, or what ever that connects to all your accounts, and has all your emails in the one place (Even though it's different accounts). Something like outlook, or Thunderbird.

If I understand you correctly you can do that in Gmail! Just look under the "Settings" tab.
when you quote a post could you please do it via the "Reply With Quote" button or if it multiple post click the "''+" button then "Reply With Quote" button.
If this thread is finished with please mark it "Resolved" by selecting "Mark thread resolved" from the "Thread tools" drop-down menu.

Yep, but it only allows for POP. You can't use SMPT to send emails. Also I was thinking about hosting it myself, but not necessary .

Huh? I've never used gmail so I dont know what this feature is but just to clarify: when you send any emails you use SMTP - You cant send emails via POP. So if this feature in gmail allows you to view all of your emails from various different accounts in one place and lets you reply to them then that already is using SMTP.
I dont know, I get the feeling I am not understanding exactly what you want. Perhaps you could provide a link to some example desktop software that you say does this?

Re: Any web software for email?
Yep I know.
POP is used for retrieving emails
IMAP is used for managing your inbox (deleting, reading, moving into folders etc)
SMTP is used for sending emails.
In thunderbird for example, you can use all 3 of these protocols in order to send and receive email.
I was wondering if there's any software out there, that you can put your mail server, port, username & password etc into and it will connect to the server and display them for you. Or you can use SMTP to send an email from that mail server with your account.
So you can have multiple accounts in one area basically, and only have to login once to a webpage to view all your email accounts.
I think v-mail is what I'm looking for, I'll check it on soon and let you know, but other suggestions are welcome.
