Yes, you can, I did it before. You can download it for free from Microsoft (search for DCOM, not the option pack, since it is for WinNT only). However, it will have limit functionality compares to the one install on WINNT.

You have to install MTS explorer for Win98 (This is not the Option Pack for WinNT).
I searched at Microsoft site, and got it working (MTS for Win98). I can not remember the exact location, but I am sure you can do it.
I'll try to look for it and let you know ASAP.

csvax,
Go to this site:
http://www.microsoft.com/com/resources/downloads.asp
Click on "MTS version 2.0". Follows on screen instruction and down load the one for Win95. It works on Win98 as well.
After you got it install, MTS explorer will look similar to the one in WindowNT (some limit such as Remote Computer is missing...). After create your package, you can export the package to your client.
Good luck.

TheBao,
Thanks a lot. I installed the PWS package before but failed because of Registery size problem. I guess that why i didn't have the MTS exploere installed. But at that, i thought maybe the whole idea, to install MTS on win98, was wrong. Encouraged by your successful example, i downloaded the package again and found the solution to solve registery size problem on Microsoft's website. Now i have MTS successfully installed. i do appreciate your patient and help.

Hi TheBao,
The error message is as following:
" An unknown error occurred while making MTS specific changes to the system registry. Error code = 0x80004005".
The reason is the registry is large when installing PWS or MTS. The soultion is to replace the mtssetup.dll file with a new version downloading from microsoft's website. For more detail info, you may search article by error code 0x80004005.
